Mounting is the second step of the metallographic Industrial Material Testing.
This procedure is recommended for small, fragile, particularly shaped or thin layered samples.
Samples are englobed into a resin for protection, handling and having uniform sizes to obtain the best grinding/polishing operations.
Depending on the materials, two techniques are available:
- hot mounting
- cold mounting
> Fully automatic mounting press with touch screen for data setting such as heating temperature, heating time, cooling time, pressure
> One cylinder with an intermediate piston which makes possible to carry out 2 mounting operations at same time
> Adjustable piston height
> Different mold sizes available (ø 25mm, ø 30mm, ø 40mm, ø 50mm)
> Automatic water cooling system.
Recommended for small, fragile, particularly shaped or thin layered samples; to uniform sizes of samples. Soft materials and medium-hard materials.
